It is finally good to see a former Tar Heel thriving in the Major Leagues. Brian Roberts is top 5 in virtually every major offensive category in major league baseball while playing a solid second base for the Baltimore Orioles. Unfortunately I failed to pick him up in my fantasy league. Another Oriole by the way of Chapel Hill is the well traveled BJ Surhoff, the Milwaukee Brewers former first round pick. Former Heel Russ Adams is not off to such a great start and has actually seen his playing time reduced. Russ was brought up towards the end of the season last year and impressed the Blue Jays so much he was deemed their future shortstop.

The Tar Heels baseball team is currently ranked #15 in the country and will finish their season off against the #6 Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Could it be the year that the Tar Heels get passed the Super Regionals and make it to the College World Series?
